Investor Economics
Reinventing their business
Investor Economics approached us to redesign their website and online document portal. We spent a few days accessing their services and reading through their content. What we found was that it was pretty difficult to figure out their company's philosophy and services by navigating their existing site. When we met with their team, we learned about their impressive history and the market-leading analysis they've been providing for more than a decade. It became abundantly clear that our first priority was to highlight their history, experience and dominance in the financial services industry. Along with telling their story, the site needed to sell their extensive catalogue of reports, improve their day-to-day operations and ultimately get customers to call.
UX and Design
One of the key areas for improvement was their messaging. We needed the new site to tell the story of Investor Economics in a quick and insightful way. We designed the site to ensure that from the moment a user arrived on the site, they felt as if they intuitively understood the company's expertise, philosophy and offerings. We did this by creating unique navigation, large scale iconography and by reworking their branding and color pallet to deliver a modern, cutting-edge and professional experience for their customers.
Content
Investor Economics lives and dies by the data they collect and the analysis they provide. It was imperative that we gave their content the attention it deserves as well as create new content to further enforce their brands experience. We started by simplifying the way the company described itself and its products. We worked closely with the founders to better understand the company, it's growth, vision and philosophies so we could portray it as accurately as possible. We redefined layouts and guidelines to empower the experts at Investor Economics with the ability to produce content in an easy and consistent way.
Development
As well as re-imagining the design and front-end development, there was extensive research and strategy that was required to rebuild their backend system. It needed the ability to manage their clients, sales, site content, email marketing, products and complex surveying. We used a combination of Wordpress and a custom-built CMS and kept the complexity of the system manageable. Since the Investor Economics team used the sales and customer management tools daily, we worked to better understand their internal processes and how we could simplify and in some cases automate the way they do their business.
